December 2010 - Late Night Shopping
On Thursday 2nd December we’ll be opening late, right up until 8pm. Join us and kick
start your Christmas shopping!
December 2010 - Extended Opening Hours
Right up until Christmas we will be open each Sunday from 12noon till 4pm, AND will
be opening early on Saturdays from 9am to 5pm!
November 2010 - Holidays
From October 27th to November 5th inclusive we’ll be closed for our holidays! But
we’ll be back on November 6th - all rested, relaxed and ready for the Christmas rush!

Happy Fair Day! Our Fair cards are available to buy and be personalised now. Make
sure you have yours! And, don’t forget we’ll be closed on Friday June 25th so we
can enjoy the Fair Day ourselves!

September 2009 - Italian Week!
September sees Bo’ness in full Roman mode with an Italian Market in town, and a series
of Roman themed events at the Hippodrome and Kinneil House. We’re even getting in
on the act with our Italian related books!

It’s Inkspot & Silverleaf’s first birthday this month! (Our first year has just flown
by!) We’d like to say a big thank you to all our wonderful customers who’ve supported

We now have in stock the full range of £1 World Book Day books! So if you are lucky

February 2009 - Bo’ness Local History Books
We now have two new local history publications in the shop - Bo’ness Coal Pits details
the history of the coal mining industry in the area, whilst Hard as Nails is an account
of the Home Guard in Falkirk District and includes information about the involvement
of Bo’ness and it’s people.
January 2009 - Happy New Year!
After a well earned rest, the shop is back open again, and looking forward to a prosperous
2009. We wish our customers and friends all the best for the new year ahead!
December 2008 - Sons O’ Brass!
Hardback copies of Sons O’ Brass are now available in the shop. Photographs from

We’re pleased to host the launch of ‘Sons O’ Brass’ by Val McKay. A great new book
on the history of Bo’ness and Carriden Brass Band. Copies available in the shop priced

Tickets are now on sale for The Barony Players’ production of The Ghost Train. The
show runs from December 2nd - 6th and tickets are priced just £7 (£5 concessions).

The famous Aviemore Reindeer will be visiting Bo’ness on Saturday 29th November -
pop in to town and see them... and us!

We’re in the news again! This week we’re on the front page of the Bo’ness Journal
along with Val from Pebbles Jewellery in an article about our businesses being shortlisted
for the Falkirk Herald Business Awards.
12/09/08 - Awards!
We always talk of books that have been shortlisted for awards, but now we’re on the
shortlist for one ourselves! Its for Best Company Website / Ecommerce in the Falkirk
Herald Business Awards 2008. The winner will be announced in November and of course
we’ll keep you posted on how we do!
